Our Priorities
As your Lake Park Commissioner, I’ve worked hard over the past eight months to deliver real results, from enhancing public safety and securing grants for community projects to expanding parks and recreation opportunities. I’m committed to protecting the environment, improving infrastructure, driving economic development, and supporting sensible and accessible redevelopment.
While we’ve made great progress, there’s more to be done. With your support, I’ll continue working to build a safer, stronger, and more vibrant Lake Park for all residents.

✅ Safety First: Approved new security cameras and additional police officers to ensure safer neighborhoods for all residents.

✅ Investing in Infrastructure: Secured funding for 156 new streetlights and major improvements to sidewalks, pavement, and stormwater systems, enhancing both safety and the look of our town.

✅ Smart Budgeting: Successfully rolled back the millage rate, providing property tax relief while maintaining critical services for our residents.

✅ Exciting Community Events: Supported events like the Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Fireworks, Martin Luther King celebration, Multicultural Celebrations, and Haitian Flag Day celebration, creating memorable moments that bring us together.

✅ Modernizing Lake Park: Championed electronic upgrades and traffic sign improvements to make our town more efficient and navigable.

✅ Focused on Youth: Funded after-school activities and summer programs to keep our youth engaged and inspired. And directions to design a waterpark and recreation center.

✅Building Better Relationships: Launched Coffee with Commissioner Hensley events to meet residents face-to-face, listen to your concerns, and strengthen our community relationships. Your input has been invaluable in shaping our progress!
